This Unikat Signature Polish Pottery is a Limited production from a small factory near Boleslawiec, Poland. The acrylic dome cover with knob opens and closes easily and keeps food sealed and fresh. It creates a wonderful display for appetizers, sushi or desserts The natural slate tray retains cool temperatures extremely efficiently. Each tray is sealed with clear varnish. The slate tray is food safe, waterproof, as well as oil and liquid repellent. Note that it is not dishwasher safe. The dome lid is very sturdy and is professional quality. It is fantastic on a buffet table. Each slate tray has skid-resistant felt pads on the underside.

The APS Paderno World Cuisine dome display with slate tray and stainless steel base can be used with item# 41586-38 as well. The acrylic dome cover with knob opens and closes easily and keeps food sealed and fresh. It creates a wonderful display for appetizers, sushi or desserts. Slates, by definition, are mined directly from natural quarries. Slate has the ability to both retain cold and heat, making it ideal for serving food on buffets or tableside. They are ideal for foods such as cheeses, pates, cured meats, desserts and vegetables, as they retain cold and will keep foods fresh and appetizing. Simply place the slate/s in the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving or store them there overnight. For warm dishes, such as grilled fish, foie gras or grilled vegetables, the slates can be preheated in the oven and will retain their heat throughout the duration of the meal. In several regions in Europe, slates are used to grill fish and meat at high temperatures. Keep in mind that these slates are natural and therefore require hand washing under warm water using a sponge or a nylon kitchen brush. These slates may break if dropped. Each slate has felt pads on the underside to avoid slipping.

Since 1998, we have offered our serving trays in 4 American hardwoods; black walnut, hard maple, black cherry and red oak. Strong and attractive, the corner joints of the trays are mitered and glued, then reinforced with Peruvian walnut splines. Our trays are finished with 3 coats of clear, low sheen precatalyzed lacquer, which enables easy clean up of those inevitable spills. SPECIFICATIONS. The outside dimensions of our trays are 14″ X 20″. Our solid wood sides are 9/16″ thick. The handled ends are 2 1/4″ tall and the height at the corner joints is 1 1/2″. The bottoms are 1/4″ solid wood veneer and have our logo burned into the corner of the bottom face. Considering their strength, they are as light as possible, weighing between 3 lbs and 3 lbs 5 oz.
