Designed originally in 1962 by Harold Holdcroft, Royal Albert’s Old Country Roses has become one of the most popular china patterns in the company’s century-long history. The sumptuous design is enhanced by the sophisticated shape, graceful floral ornamentation, rich feminine colors, and a style and elegance that are uniquely English.
Measuring 9- by 15-1/4-inches, this oval tray from Royal Albert adds a unique basketweave design to the traditional Old Country Roses pattern. The textured, white-on-white motif covers the outer rim of the tray, while two rope-like handles adorn each side. A three-dimensional bow uniquely decorates either side of the tray, while clusters of timeless pink and yellow country roses, set on a bed of greenery, enhance the ornamental ribbon. Decorative 22-carat gold trims the outer edge as well as each bow, completing the romantic design.
